Ive been to California so many times that I stopped counting. Everytime I was there leaving was harder. I had the luck to live at a very nice Californian Family everythime I went there, they were one of the nicest people Ive ever met. Of course theres L.A and San Diego and I have been there but NorCal is even nicer. I lived one hour away from San Francisco more in the east at a place called Byron. Byron is tiny and has like 400 or maybe 500 inhabitants. Right nxt to Byron theres Discovery Bay. The funny and good thing about the Bay Area near Frisco is that there thousands of canals and rivers, its a Delta. In Summer the water is pretty warm and its not salt water so its very nice to swim in there. And everyone who live in this Discovery Bay town you have water excess in the back yard.
Alomst everybody who live in Discovery Bay or Byron has a boat, on sundays theyre all going out on the boat and party there. Its sooo much fun and its completly different than Germany. The whole spirit is way more posivtive and somehow lighter. If youre there for vacation its paradise!!
I fell in love with that place from day one.
Theres a restaurant, Byron Inn- its open from 6A.M til 2P.M its the best breakfast that Ive ever eaten! The plates are hughe and its all home made. Chocolate Milkshake, Hashbrownes, Eggs, Bacon or Sausage and Pancake and youre in heaven!
Heres a map of Contra Costa County, California.
Of corse therey more in Cali than just Byron or Disco Bay. San Francisco is nice as well and everytime I was there it had this european flair. The harbour is full of tourists but little Italy is very nice and there some small restaurants.
The Golden Gate Bridge is so impressive and massive that I cant describe it.
If you drive over the GGB up north there some Reedwood trees on the way to Richmond. I guess they belong to this smaller race of Redwood trees but still theyre hughe. If youre around its a good chance took take a look at those giant trees...
Ive also been to Sacramento, we went to the zoo there and we had a blast.
The zoo is not one of the biggest but the animals have enough space and seem to be happy.
Napa is one of the most beautiful areas in California and if you like wine you should def go there and do some winte tasts, there is a very big and famous winery its called Mondavy, they have a hughe farm which is very crowded on the weekends.
The South
The south of Cali is completely different than the north. Bfore I Went to California I thought that it doesnt matter where you go but then I understood that California is so big that there are major differences between south and north.
Pretty CiddyS
To me, to live in a nice city is a privilege . Most of us never come out of the city and almost no one has the luck to have a cabin on the country side. So we all should do our best to make our citys pretty! Here some pictures from different citys in different countrys which are all more or less nice but all of them were very special. Some of my fav places...
The view from the Empire State Building
Greenich Village
NYC everywhere nice pieces, tons of tags and streetart. Its really the ciddy that never sleeps, very much energy nice people, very inspiring but also so much chaos too much noise and everybodys ina rush.
London, Hyde Park. Just have been there once and honestely I dont like London at all. Its too cold, too rainy the girls ALL look shitty and they have this ugly acent.
But Hyde Park is nice...
Bangkok, tons of people, tons of dogs, cats, chickens and rats. Always loud and dirty the air is so bad that you sometimes have problems to breathe proper. But also so beautiful and there are so many small things to discover!
San Francisco, prbly my favorite right behind Rome. Chilled people, I would say theyre almost kinda european.
Discovery Bay, well I fell in love with this place the first time i went there. Its in north California a little more east from Frisco and has like 4000 inhabitants. Every house has water acces in the back yard. Pretty much the paradise on earth.
Open air museum - the elephant has a cold
The Vatikan
Rome, the most beautiful ciddy I have ever seen. Everywhere you go in Rome its beautiful, not just the architecture, the klimate and the culture but also the people are so nice and friendly. All those houses and the palazzos are just too beautiful avery house in Rome has a own history and the spirit in this city is unbelivable. If you have ever been there you know excately why they call Rome the eternal city!
